Детское онкогематологическое отделение Томской ОКБ. Заболевшие дети живут здесь вместе со своими матерями. Лейкоз (рак крови), анемия (малокровие), гемофилия (несвертываемость крови) - эти болезни занимают вторые места в статистике смертности детей до 14 лет. Первое - несчастные случаи (травмы и отравления). Самое главное – вовремя обнаружить рак крови. При раннем обнаружении болезни и правильно подобранном лечении вероятность излечения или перехода в состояние продолжительной ремиссии у детей составляет 80-90 процентов. В России за последние годы выживаемость при раке крови выросла с 4 до 80 процентов. Что само собой снимает популярный обывательский вопрос:«Зачем помогать больным раком? Они ведь все равно умрут» Умрет 2 из 10 детей, а 8 выживут, если мы им вовремя поможем.
Ключевое слово здесь - Вовремя.
